Equal rights for women is a wonderful concept so long as it does not allow them to vote.

There is no middle ground and the ground we stand on is constantly shrinking.

Note that pro-LGBT activist judges have been politically amending the ERA to the Constitution. Such judges would predictably used the ERA to kill our basic constitutionally enumerated protections imo.

“RINOs do exactly the same thing as their Democratic Uniparty counterparts. What do you think was happening in Congress between January 2017 and January of this year, in terms of Trump’s agenda being stymied, when the GOP held majorities in both the House and Senate?”

Perhaps part of the problem is called the FILIBUSTER, and the other part is PAUL RYAN.

But, as it is, I’ll take the JUDGES long before your ‘trophy legislation’, any day of the week. At this point, in this country, the ONLY way we can prevent another civil war is to have Constitution-respecting judges.

And I know a lot of people here are ready to put on their camos, strap up their mags, and run out and start shooting ‘the man’ with their AR’s. But read up a bit on other civil wars in other countries, there not very much fun...not at all.

So you’re welcome to go trolling for the Democrats by making insane claims that they’re no worse than the RINOs - but that’s your problem, not mine.

The laws protecting women and women lose rights if people (women) are foolish enough to call for the amendment. I say leave it up to the women. The amendment removes many women’s rights. I vote women pass it and lose rights .... LOL. That would show women .... LOL

What?

Pointing out what the RINOs are is not “trolling for the Democrats”.

You can support de-facto Democrats if you want, and get the same results (or worse) as between January 2017 and January 2019. Denial of history (something the Democrats excel at) is “trolling for the Democrats” in fact, with all due respect.

Now one thing you’re absolutely right about is to stop the judiciary from being a kritocracy. But forget about making excuses for RINOs—take note that Susan Collins stipulated her vote for Justice Kavanaugh on the notion that he would not vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, whether true or not on his part.

We were warned what the GOP was becoming back in the 1950s:
The New Deal, Dean Acheson wrote approvingly in a book called A Democrat Looks At His Party, “conceived of the federal government as the whole people organized to do what had to be done.” A year later, Mr. (Arthur) Larson wrote A Republican Looks At His Party, and made much the same claim in his book for modern Republicans. The “underlying philosophy” of the New Republicanism, said Mr. Larson, is that “if a job has to be done to meet the needs of the people, and no one else can do it, then it is the proper function of the federal government.”

Here we have, by prominent spokesmen of both political parties, an unqualified repudiation of the principle of limited government. There is no reference by either of them to the Constitution, or any attempt to define the legitimate functions of government. The government can do whatever needs to be done; note, too, the implicit but necessary assumption that it is the government itself that determines what needs to be done. We must not, I think, underrate the importance of these statements. They reflect the view of a majority of the leaders of one of our parties, and of a strong minority among the leaders of the other, and they propound the first principle of totalitarianism: that the State is competent to do all things and is limited in what it actually does only by the will of those who control the State. …

The Conscience of a Conservative (1960), Chapter 2, page 15
Big mistake to put faith in man instead of God, is all I can say about that.

“Pointing out what the RINOs are is not “trolling for the Democrats”.”

Unless you can give us SPECIFIC EXAMPLES of where Democrats are better than Republicans regarding what I pointed out on judges, then you’re TROLLING FOR THE DEMOCRATS.

...but feel free to deny it, after all isn’t that part of trolling too?

...and how many of your Democrat friends announced support for Kavenaugh before he got his 50th Republican supporter?

ANSWER: ZERO. So, please, if you don’t want to troll, then stop claiming that RINOs are as bad as Democrats - because they ARE NOT.

(p.s., perhaps 20 years ago, that claim may have had credibility, given that there were some conservative Democrats, but not since then, not even close)

You’re coming out with things I never said. Tons of red herrings and nonsequiturs.

Pointing out what RINOs are does not mean there are indeed real Republicans who are loyal to the Constitution—but they are a minority in the party, and it will be very hard work to get the electorate to put the Constitutional Republican in office versus the RINO who invariably pushes the left-wing agenda.

And making excuses for RINOs (the filibuster rule et al) will not change RINOs into something else. It is a false dilemma to insist on choosing the RINO over the Democrat since they are the same thing.

PS. If you’re calling post 21 a troll post, perhaps you’re the one with “Democrat friends” since you push the Democratic false dichotomy between left-wing GOP-e types and Democrats.

Collins is in the fight of her life in Maine, so in my book she’s welcome to say what she wants to get re-elected, at least regarding the November election. She obviously cannot control what judges do, so it really doesn’t matter what she says about them - only how she ultimately votes, and she did come through here.

Our BIGGEST PROBLEM with Kavanaugh was running an IDIOT, non-RINO, Roy Moore in Alabama and handing that seat to the Democrats. If we held that seat, the vote of Collins would not have even mattered.

“You’re coming out with things I never said. Tons of red herrings and nonsequiturs.”

Until the day when someone can PROVE, via their voting record, that Democrats in the Senate, any Democrat, has a voting record on judges equal or better than our RINOs, I will continue to call out ANYONE who claims there is ‘no difference’ between RINOs and Democrats.

That may happen in the future, but it sure as hell is NOT the case now. The parties are VASTLY DIFFERENT.

Nine of the 15 states are states which seceded and then were forced back into the Union by federal troops. So those Yankee liberals have only their own ancestors to blame for the fact that the amendment failed to be ratified.

Equal Rights in a country where women can murder their babies because they have different genitalia, skin color, ‘disability’, or are multiple offspring than they “wanted”.

Kill a baby because you didn’t want a girl.
Kill a baby because you didn’t want a black baby.
Kill a baby because you don’t want a child with Down Syndrome.
Kill a baby because you only wanted one, not twins.

Equal rights? Feminazis need to get REAL.

You’re still harping on the false dilemma, with all due respect. The alternative to a RINO is not a Democrat.

“You’re still harping on the false dilemma, with all due respect. The alternative to a RINO is not a Democrat.”

It is in the November elections (as I was alluding to in my initial post), as Libertarians don’t usually do too well.

As for primaries, I’m mixed on it, so I don’t make general comments - it’s usually case-by-case, depending on the state. For example, if Susan Collins is the only Republican who can win Maine, then we take it. On the other hand, people like Lindsey Graham 1.0 in SC, or McCain when Arizona was conservative, that was horrible.

And then I was wondering just who hasn’t acted RINO’ish amongst Republicans in the Senate? Even the Legendary Ted Cruz has pounded on Trump a few times, including Ukraine (not to mention the Convention, not to also mention nearly giving his seat over to Beto). It seems to me that’s it’s virtually impossible to even find pure conservatives who can actually win elections (think Roy Moore).

So you won’t see me say much beyond hash it out in the Primaries...but today, the difference between the parties when it comes to Senate is NIGHT AND DAY - there used to be some overlap, but not anymore. If people think there is no difference and stay home, letting the Democrat win, they are giving the seat to SCHUMER, that simple. If the Republican wins, the worst they get someone who bucks us once in a while (although very rarely on judges) and gets off by bitching about Trump.

I should hope so, but we still have McConnell straddling the fence on many issues It’s a good thing that Graham woke up out of his amnesty-supporting reverie to throw more weight behind Trump’s agenda although not 100 percent.

Agree! But I do think that McConnell is more covering for the RINOs than actually undercutting us. For example, in 2017/2018 he simply didn’t have the votes to kill the filibuster for legislation. He later said just that. So rather than force the RINOs to really piss off their voters in an public vote, he simply took it off the table.

But never forget that McConnell was till to take a HUGE BEATING for us in keeping Scalia’s seat open until the 2016 election...even with Skunk Cabbage being a 98% certainty of winning, and probably replacing the somewhat respectable Garland with a flaming Leftist.
