In addition thank Jug Ears Obama for the great gift of “Obamacare” that makes it profitable for big companies to reduce your hours below the required threshold.
If you need the bully government to force someone to pay you $15, you are worth considerably less.
Business: we are trying to make money selling widgets. We are not a church trying to donate. Is that ok? It seemed to make a pretty powerful, rich country once.
“She said full-time is considered like 34 hours. They schedule her for 33.75 hours every week.”
When your hours get reduced to part time you will probably lose insurance as well.
This happened to Bezos Wholefoods employee’s as well..
The stupidly displayed by this woman is amazing
She lost a lot more than that. She list her job benefits including health insurance - which she views as a freebie
WHAT A BUNCH OF FOOLS.....WHEN THE GOV’T TELLS YOU WHAT TO PAY, EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED. ALL THE WAGE INCREASE ACCOMPLISHED WAS TO EXPEDITE ROBOTIC STAFF REPLACEMENT. THE NONSENSE PROMOTED BY THE DEMS; FREE THIS AND FREE THAT, WILL AMPLIFY THE PLACEMENT OF ROBOTIC REPLACEMENTS 10 FOLD.
Went to Target last week. They had a whole new lane with about 8 of those self check outs, no open lanes with a cashier so you had to use them. They did have a sign up that they were hiring for holiday help though. I guess week days are slow enough they can get away with the self check outs.
I expect her hours cut has a lot more to do with Obamacare than it does the pay increase to $15 an hour.
I’ve got a friend that runs a drug store that’s part of a small chain so they have over 50 employees. When obamacare came about and they were required to provide health insurance for full time employees he just dropped all his employees to under 30 hours a week to be below the cutoff. He said there’s not way he could afford to pay health insurance for all his employees, it would put them out of business in a week.
If someone has had their hours cut to below 30 hours a week you can thank Obamacare for that, it’s the only way employers can afford it.
I got that dollar raise but I’m getting $200 less in my paycheck,” a Target employee named Heather told CNN.
Stupid is supposed to hurt. Lurkers Grandpa.

I liked Service Merchandise. And Incredible Universe, while it lasted. Funny to think that style of business might make a comeback.
(Actually wally-world sort of does that right now, with the order online pickup in the store schtick.)
WOW! Its almost as if the laws of economics still work. Who could have foreseen that?
>>>Thank God I sold my Target stock two years ago. This company is the next Sears Roebuck.
The stock price has almost doubled in the last 24 months.
The employees should be satisfied... After all, one of their benefits is being able to hang out in the girls restroom and watch the perverts “hanging out”...
What’s a Target? Oh, right...something you shoot at.
Too bad. Check the dressing and rest rooms to see who is in there too.
I visited a Target yesterday and I believe I could have get better service at my local CLOSED Kmart. My sister send me a Target gift card for my birthday.
Wifey went out with the girls to a newly-opened McDonalds in Nevada that did the same thing. Nothing but kiosks and one girl at the front to show the old people how to order.
Won't be going back to that one again.
Grocery stores are the only places I shop in who have employees ready and able to answer questions and find merchandise. They obviously are trained to help the customer as they do it gladly and most of the time offer to help without me asking. I can’t remember the last time I got help from any clerk in any other kind of store about merchandise or locating it..My husband hasn’t been in a store for years so he still says, “why don’t you ask a clerk” or “why don’t you call the store?” Yeah - sure - but only if I don’t mind wasting my time.
