I pay no attention to doom’n’gloomers. They’re the rain on the parade, the guy with bad gas on a long car trip, the person who always asks for a short term loan (and never remembers to pay it back), the person who calls up late at night and wants to whine about all their problems, etc. They’re like the guy who goes to the bathroom at the gas stations and comes into your house with crap on his shoes.
Either they love being miserable or they want to sow defeatism. If they are not trying to sow hopelessness and defeatism, they’re whiners, victims, so used to abuse they don’t know how to live with out it and so seek it out, and want everyone else to be hopeless as they are. Trying to stiffen up their resolve usually results in vicious attacks.
Maybe I should tell you how I really feel....
