You’re a mother who has just discovered your two children hanging from the rafters in the basement.
You call 911 but don’t take them down?
You launch into a story about bullying and not wanting to go alone to the 911 dispatcher?
I’m sorry, no, that’s not the reaction of any normal, loving mother who would be out of her mind with shock and fear. She’d have gotten them down immediately. Blame would be the last thing on her mind.
She did it, as far as I’m concerned.

‘media’s “Bullying” obsession.’
In our neck of the woods we have these huge roadside advertising signs that say in very large letters: “Bullying Hurts” or “Stop Bullying”.
That’s gotta be the dumbest waste of advertising space there could be. For a true bully will look at it and laugh his a$$ off. Being a bully is ingrained into one’s personality and will not be turned off by some stupid sign.
I cannot possibly see a benefit with the signs.
First thing I thought was the mom when I heard it on the news. Didn’t have to do much reading. No doubt.
Not a tear one in Susan Smith’s eyes.
Then she and her mother had the nerve to blame it on Susan Smith’s husband and her step-father.
Dad might be able to shed some light on this.
Did the Mom make that display? If so, I really suspect her. That’s the sort of thing you might do a year later, when your grief has finally outrun the shock and disbelief. But within days?
