Christ is the One atoning, sacrificial Lamb, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. I am in Him and He is in Me. I am part of the atonement —— the suffering, death and resurrection of my Lord-—because I am part of Him.
We can do nothing without Him. We can do everything with Him. We take up and bear our crosses with Him. We die with Him, we will rise with Him.
