It’s almost a miracle how accurately the Bible anticipated the evil that those who follow God would face so many times in history, and the evil that we face again today. Pray even for God’s enemies, but fight for good and stand up for the truth.
This is the Left’s blueprint and inspiration from “1984”:

America’s enemies desperately need to hear us say that we see five fingers and that God was wrong in everything he inspired Moses, the prophets, Paul, Peter, and the others to write in the Bible. They demand those lies at the point of a gun (often figuratively, but more and more that will be literal). Just as much as they need that lie, we need the truth.
I still see four fingers, and I still see the truth in the Bible, even if thugs threaten me.

For everyone who responded to my post like the response above. I understand what you’re saying but you didn’t understand what I was saying....when are we going to see the same thing happen here that the thread was about? Someone gets investigated for posting a Bible verse on social media - or in any publication? Not the same as the bakeries or any other business who refuses to give in to THEIR demands. Entirely different ballgame. Absolutely a violation of the First Amendment when it takes place.

I don’t remember if he actually cited the verse, did he? I thought he just got mixed up and meant to say John 3:16...If he did repeat the verse, then maybe I was wrong to criticize him....????
Remember Hillary was asked the same thing but she couldn’t name chapter and verse. She could only say “the golden rule.” I guess we were supposed to be impressed.

My post was specific to the thread about the Polish politician....I’m well aware of all the other incidents in the news in our country. THAT’S not what I was talking about.

Being new to FR for two whole days does not allow you to insult old time (and old) Freepers and I do not appreciate being called names - we have an ABUSE button for a reason.
I did read Solzhenitsyn. A lot of his stuff, mostly decades ago. I read Gulag but also some of his fiction, like First Circle. I think it’s in First Circle where he does this magnificent imaginative description of Stalin, unable to sleep, wakes up at 3am and starts working. But he can’t work properly without his various ministers so he picks up the phone and wakes them up. They immediately jump up and come in to the office (fear of Stalin being literally akin to fear of the devil) and if THEY are coming to work there’s no way their underlings are going to sleep. And as each level of supervisory underling is summoned into the office they all call THEIR underlings in, and of course no one at any level even thinks of not answering the call. An hour after Stalin has stirred from his insomnia, the entire city of Moscow is awake, with lights blazing from the windows of a hundred office buildings.
I’m doing this from memory. The original description by Solzhenitsyn is brilliant. Like a kind of dark poetry.
