Once when I was at work, a sheriff’s deputy showed up in the driveway. His first question to my wife was “does your husband have any guns?”
She replied, of course he has a bunch of guns, I have no idea how many, though? Why are you asking me that? (Any gun guy knows you never tell them how many you have, your wife may not know one from the other, but likely she can count and will know when a couple of new ones make an appearance)
Turns out, there was a neighbor 2 houses down that the husband was suicidal, they went to the wrong house. Not their fault, we keep putting house numbers on our deck, a squirrel keeps pulling them off!
