Most people who ever purchased shares of stock in most country clubs, get screwed when they quit. My inlaws are still waiting for the sale of their shares of country club stock from their last club membership. If the club never reaches it’s membership goals(plural because it can change...), they don’t have to buy back anyone’s shares.
Im hoping I can outlast him, he said. Im 74, I dont know if I will.
Kill yourself already and stop the worry. No one will miss you I promise.
I remember playing/staying at Doral about 12-15 years ago. When I asked the caddie what the membership fee was, he indicated $15,000, which I thought was very cheap. Trump is charging $50,000 to join. BTW, playing golf at Doral is like playing golf at the old Shea Stadium-—jets taking off and landing every 2 minutes.
Investing in a country club makes no sense to me.
Trump bought it, refurbished it and when he became President, the liberals went nuts.
It was OK as long as he put money into the club and the pro's had a tournament there, but they went to mehico and the lib members want their money back.
F'm, and the white horse they rode in on.
Maybe one of those Company’s that can get you out of your Timeshare will help them out. I hear them advertising on Rush.

Hey! I lost 4500.00 when our country club was sold to a private concern. it happens...unfortunately.

Buying a set number of shares is usually required to join a country club. It makes all members, part owners with voting rights at general meetings. A golf club has separate ownership that runs the place and members are only customers.
Lol
