The ads, for Volkswagen and Philadelphia cream cheese, were investigated by the UK Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) after viewers complained they perpetuated gender stereotypes.
There is an “advertising standards agency” in the UK, which has veto power over product advertising?????
Coming soon to America????
To: utford
I was going to say, this clearly violates the first amendment. Then I saw it was the UK.
Never mind.

Nope. We have the first amendment.
This is a “dog bites man” story. If it were being attempted in the US, it would be a “man bites dog” story.

So the only way you can advertise your product without using obvious LGBTQ models is to not use any models at all. This reminds me of turn-of-the-twentieth advertising of a generic hand pointing at the product with the words, “Buy it.”
I’d imagine they could use a voiceover while generic hands drive or spread the product demonstrating handling or smoothness or whatever the product has to offer. Does the voiceover have to have a swishy, gay accent?

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire. Or both.)

Well, if it comes right out of the fridge, it can be pretty hard to spread cream cheese with a flimsy wrist anyway.

No two Men are the same.
No two Women are the same.
No two Blacks are the same.
No two Whites are the same.
So why do Libs insist that Men = Women and White = Black in every instance?

Maybe the answer to this is to have the actor. actress, actorofnosex encased head to toe in a condom with a Tampex plugging up the end. No guesswork required.

I was politicized, buracratized out of contract opportunities in Texas, USA for not accepting homosexual relationships as healthy and normal. (I could have lied, but I have a greater judge and another wealth.) Our country needs to honor the landmarks that made greatness. We are honoring Baal and Ashtoreth. REPENT!

What’s with all these Mixed Couples ads ? I hardly ever see a mixed couple so why do they want to sell to them
To: utford
It isn’t needed here because we voluntarily censor ourselves. Gillette comes to mind.

Asexual ads may be a robust new revenue stream for Pixar. Remember the dancing Life Savers? Instead of model demonstrating the products, Pixar could “bring the products to life.” Using synthesized voices that are just as asexual.
