Do you uptalk? Is every sentence a question?

I doubt they are “blocking” anyone intentionally.

My guess is that somewhere a server is re-propagating. Charter doesn’t care about FR. Charter, unfortunately, doesn’t care about anyone.

I doubt that Spectrum is explicitly blocking your access to FR, at least not yet. Using a VPN at all times is good internet “hygiene”, but be careful about free VPNs. They are worse than your ISP in terms of violating your privacy. Use a good paid service like PIA or NordVPN.

Reboot. That’s what the nerds always tell me, right after the question, “What did you do?”

Could be worse. Could be uptalk with a glottal fry.

Unplug power from the modem.
Unplug power from the router.
Wait 30+ seconds.
Then, plug in the modem.
Wait 30 seconds.
Next, plug in the router.
Wait about a minute — until the appropriate lights are back.

That the reboot that works for me on Spectrum-Charter.

I’m in SC and I’ve been on FR on 3 different computers today. No problems here.

The “not secure” message will go away if you use FR’s secure https URL:

But that takes a whole minute to do!

Ha ha.

I worked in cable for 15 years and that description is right out of our service manual. It works almost every time.

Customers would want US to drive out and do it for them.

Thanks!! I’ve been on FR for over 21 years, and never saw the Not Secure term until recently. I figured it was caused by one of Safari’s updates.

Sure thing. The “not secure” message is a newish feature that most browsers have adopted since most websites nowadays are secure (i.e. they have an https URL) and info security is more of a thing. If you happen to visit a non-secure http website the browser will notice it and let you know.
