“father’s” groups are fake liberal fronts.
Johnboy Edwards won the “man of the year” award in 2008 as he was dodging reporters’ questions about his bastard lovechild from an affair. And Hulk Hogan was on the dais with him (at the time Mr. Hogan was having an affair with his daughter’s friend).
“The RIGHT to LIFE, liberty, and
the persuit of happiness.
It can’t possibly get any clearer.
Accident or not, that baby was a
human being. To put ones’ personal
inconveniences to the forefront
of innocent life is an abomination.
There is no benefit and they are not free. They are still slaves to sin.
I wonder what his future children will think someday when they read that article? I wonder how he will feel some day when he holds his first liveborn child?
Odds are that webpage won’t even exist in 20 years. down the memory hole.
Of course its all about convenience. We never had a doubt.
I sincerely doubt that every woman who has an abortion is able to prove who the father is. Very few men would volunteer to be a dad to a baby-on-the-way that they know isn’t theirs. The truth shall set you free...
(Drum roll)...”Casanova, you are NOT the father!”
Arguably, legal abortion “benefits” men far more than it does women. It enables men to live a playboy lifestyle and avoid ever having to take responsibility for a child. Meanwhile, women pay the price both physically and mentally. Women who have to deal with premature birth or miscarriage of a child they decided to have alive, women who can end up unable to conceive, women who suddenly come face to face with the fact that they killed their own baby for trivial “reasons” when they come across any of the numerous guides to pregnancy that describe fetal development or have an ultrasound of a baby the same age as the one they killed.
Abortion is not and never was about women’s rights.
Sure helps deadbeats evade their responsibilities...
Life is less often like an organized road-map that we lay out and follow, and more often a conglomeration of roads taken as they are encountered, those encounters driven either by chance or a directly attributable personal choice or action.
People make choices. Women often make choices to spread their legs and allow unprotected sexual activity with men, and men make choices to go between those legs and have unprotected sexual activity with women.
Those are choices people make. We aren’t beasts that copulate only because instinct tells us we have to do it. We have a choice in the matter.
For centuries, a man confronted with that choice of having unprotected sex with a woman was expected by most cultures to have responsibility in some way for any children resulting from that encounter.
Over time, cultural mores were established, and laws were made to protect women overall from the predations of men who wanted the sexual activity without the responsibility.
Women were encouraged not to have sexual relationships with men outside of marriage at the risk of shame and an unsupported pregnancy.
Men were encouraged not to have sexual relations with women outside of marriage that would result in pregnancy.
Women were encouraged not to have sex, and men were encouraged to have protected sex if they did. Men were also expected morally, culturally, and legally to provide for any child resulting that union.
These were all things, attitudes, penalties, recrimination, shame, that were all put in place with the ostensible end of protecting women from the predations of men. It wasn’t perfect
Between 1950 and 1980, this entire substructure was turned on its head. As Phyllis Schlafly outlined often in her campaigns against the Equal Rights Amendment, it wasn’t good for women because it destroyed the protections for women, as imperfect as they were, that had been built by centuries of experience.
But even though the ERA was never passed, cultural changes acted as if it had, and that left abortion as the only protection. Which is a horrible outcome.
Reading this linked article angers me, because it assumes that men can readily reject any of the responsibilities for their actions and that abortion is GOOD because it allows them to do it.
See my post above, the protections (albiet clumsy and often imperfect ones) built by society over centuries were swept away by modern society, leaving abortion as the only remedy to an unwanted pregnancy.
As a man, I find it extremely offensive to see them market abortion towards guys. I understand them marketing it towards women, because even with all the other historical cultural norms in place, she would bear the greater burden because history is full of men who would not accept responsibility even with all the weight of cultural reprobation behind it, so she was left holding the bag.
In this case, they are saying to men “Hey Guys! Do whatever you want! It can be fixed by abortion at the drop of a hat at any time up to birth, and even after birth in some cases!”
This piece actually markets it that way.
More fake lib groups. A$$holes. Do they think EVERYONE in the US is an idiot?
Oops, stupid question. Of course they do.
Right. Because ADOPTION is so out of the question.
The self-absorption is palpable.
That’s great. The money men would have to pay for child support can now be used for booze and women. Never mind the happiness teaching their kids to toss a ball. Of course, all that would have been avoided if men didn’t whine about having to put on a condom.
