As tensions escalate with Iran over its nuclear weapons program, voters here are more supportive of President Trump’s get-tough attitude but are not optimistic that it will bring needed change.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 25% of Likely U.S. Voters still believe the president is too aggressive in his dealings with Iran, but that’s down from 36% a year ago just after he pulled the United States out of the controversial Iranian nuclear deal negotiated by President Obama. Just as many (26%) now say Trump’s not being aggressive enough, up from 14% last May. Thirty-eight percent (38%) rate the president’s response as about right.
