When growing up on the South Shore of Long Island... we used to be able to see the Twin Towers from Gilgo Beach (30-35 miles away) when the sun went down on clear days.... truly amazing sight to see the sun falling between the two spheres....
Most of the coverage from the beach to the towers was water... so who knows.. perhaps it was this effect?

Wait a minute atmospheric distortion in recent news is ascribed to Farta Bovina. I know this from AOC and well all be dead in 12 years or less or something.

“This effect, captured on video by Joshua Nowicki, is called fata morgana, which is an optical bending of light by changes in air temperature over bodies of cold water, such as Lake Michigan in the spring.”
This is a relatively common phenomena. Normally if you look at the right place in a westerly direction from the farm place in Nebraska you can see the top of the water tower at the Brunning Airbase. The Airbase itself is about 14 miles away and below the horizon. If you get up in time to do the chores in the morning, before any wind picks up, you can on occasion see the hangers (although I believe one or more has burned). I can guarantee you that there are no bodies of cold water there and this phenomena is not limited to spring.
