Her political/civic background in her own words: Outside of being a Precinct Committeeman for Addison Township, I was involved in preserving the environmental integrity of the Village of Itasca by being an active member of ICARE (Itasca Citizens Against Road Expansion). Yes, but her attempted parallel with abortion and ‘reproductive rights’ is way off base. When men impregnate a woman, they are responsible for the support of the child. Yes, many skip out on that, but the law is that they are responsible, and they have no ‘choice’ at that point (nor should they). The man’s ‘choice’ is before he decides to have unprotected sex with someone. That is the same ‘choice’ women have. If they get pregnant because they were irresponsible, that is on them, the same way it is on the man. The choice comes before you create a life.
