I am not a golf fan but it cannot be denied that as a youth Tiger Woods was one of the most amazing phenoms the sports world as ever scene and as an adult he dominated his sport and contributed to its popularity like few athletes ever have or ever will again. The only basis for calling him a phony is if he used illegal steroids or other PEDs to boost his performance, which is possible but has not been established. Barring that, calling Tiger Woods a “phony” reminds me of a Seinfeld episode in which Jerry Seinfeld confronts an acquaintance who was going around calling Jerry a phony. The guy nervously tries to convince Jerry that “phony” is a complement, like calling something “bad.” Incredulous, Jerry replies, Oh, yeah? Use it in a sentence.” The guy thinks for a second and then says, with an affected black accent, “Man, that Michael Jordan is PHONY!”

As a side note, has anyone watched any of the Long Drive tournaments on the Golf Channel? Those guys are monsters who obviously live in the gym.......LOL!
The difference between an elected president and a winning athlete is pretty obvious, a popularity win or playing by the rules enough so to get the win.
There's no doubt TW is a top golfer of our lifetimes, and probably a transformational character for golf. He also represents a comeback story from injuries both physical and to his reputation however self-inflicted.
All that being said here's my guys; Brooks Koepka, Matt Kuchar, Corey Conners (the kid), Tommy Fleetwood (it's the hair), Patrick Reed (it's the hate), and finally Tiger.
