Marshall McCluhan first identified memes, and named them.
Now do PuffenSoros turning on the spit...
It was glorious watching him gasp for air like a beached carp...
Correction, it was called Critical Mass way back when...
Wonder if the libs’ weak meme-fu is related to their failure at talk radio.
Different genre but Michael Ramirez is by far the best political cartoonist of the age, and he’s on our side.
Some conservative memes remind me of some of the homespun signs you see at conservative rallies. They are almost like folk art. I love a rough hewn photoshop that was done in MS Paint or something. They’re the opposite of polished and that is their charm. At the same time some of our guys are doing very pro looking work. I like how it runs the whole spectrum.
Forty years later, we have done a complete 180. Now the liberals are the ones with the tight sphincters and no sense of humor while the conservatives are rocking the house.
Just check out r/The_Donald in Reddit for an example.
Since there is zero conservative representation on the MSM, including Fox News, the conservatives keep inventing new ways to communicate outside of their bubble. Liberals can’t use those methods because they don’t have a hidden audience of people who are not represented. It’s very simple. Only about 20% of our population is truly liberal and about 40% is conservative. It’s simple math, they cannot honestly hold on to power in politics because they represent an extremist far-right minority.
Why we ste winning with memes: liberals have any sense of humor or irony surgically removed at birth.

Somehow, despite using so-called “effective memes”, the GOP/GOPe has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, many more times than the demonkkkRATs, in local/state/federal levels.
The Left cares about “passion” —that means showing you’re really concerned, really serious, and banishing any hint of humor.
That’s weird, cuz all through the 60’s and 70’s the left really, realllly prided itself on “letting it all hang out” and their humor.
And they have DISCARDED that.
And so it’s ours, now.
And we’re the rebels.
How do we do it in a way that makes a difference? Because these people deserved to be wrecked.
I like this guy. I like him a lot.

Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals are inherently geared towards rebels, as opposed to the Establishment. The problem for the Left is that when it comes to cultural institutions, they are very much the Establishment, yet they are far from being the majority. This makes them a bigger target for ridicule than the prim and proper middle-aged and older folks of the 1960’s were for the hippies, as they at least represented the majority at that time.
Also, as racism, sexism, and homophobia become less and less prevalent in society, the Left is forced to concoct an elaborate fairy tale (no pun intended) which claims that racism, sexism, and homophobia are just as prevalent as ever. It’s impossible to buy into this fairy tale and maintain a sense of humor about political issues.
I’m old enough to remember those early Woody Allen movies like Bananas and Sleeper, which were synonymous with 60’s/70’s Counterculture humor. Woody was in his 30s back then.... a bit older than your typical shirtless rock and roll singer, but still young enough to be part of what was happening. Now he’s just an old man who has to check every word he says to make sure it passes muster with the young SJW Brownshirts.
Talk about a hostile work environment! Now I know how doctors feel...

We hold these memes to be self-evident, that all liberals are created laughable, that they are led by particularly deplorable half-wits, lacking self-awareness, open to mockery, and deserving endless mockery.
Frank, get in here!
