Lemme tell ya bout endangered species, awright? Saving endangered species is just one more arrogant attempt by humans to control Nature.
It’s arrogant meddling. It’s what got us in trouble in the first place. Doesn’t anybody understand that? Interfering with Nature. Over 90 percent, over, way over 90 percent, of the species that have ever lived on this planet, ever lived, are gone. Wooosh! They’re extinct. We didn’t kill them all. They just disappeared. That’s what nature does. They disappear these days at the rate of 25 a day—and I mean regardless of our behavior. Irrespective of how we act on this planet, 25 species that were here today will be gone tomorrow. Let them go gracefully. Leave Nature alone.
Haven’t we done enough?
We’re so self-important, so self-important. Everybody’s gonna save something now. Save the trees, save the bees, save the whales, save those snails. And the greatest arrogance of all, save the planet. What? Are these @ people kidding me? Save the planet? We don’t even know how to take care of ourselves yet. You missed my point.
I am not talking about the issue of invasive species, as I said on another post right below it. It is how they frame it that makes it Leftist.
And cat haters....
How about we add the timber wolves that were reintroduced to the lower 48 to the list of invasive species?
Another human attempt. However, the CWD (chronic wasting disease) seems to be rearing its ugly head.
We have two wonderful kitties. Yes, the big guy snares a bird from time to time. However, he also cleans up on rodents, moles, voles, and anything in holes! So let’s not forget that contribution.
IMHO, the greatest threat, after humans, are the hogs! Nothing can stop them! And they eat everything, even each other!
That is what I have heard.
This is how cynical I’ve become: my first thought is “how long before the unhinged left declare that culling Caucasians is Planet Earth’s only choice for survival”?.

Not opposed if necessary, tho I don’t believe in killing animals for the hell of it. I COULD make an exception for the cat my neighbor feeds(but it isn’t his he claims) . It HOWLS and moans at MY door, not his, at 4 or 5 am. Deathly, sickening sound from a horror movie. It has the nerve to hiss and growl at me. If it jumps on my maltepoos it will be a flying cat.
Funny, I originally read the title as “Cats Should be killed...”. To which I heartily concur.
We used to have Whippoorwills, haven’t heard any in at least 15+ years. I often wonder if all the free running cats just killed them off, they nest right on the ground. Of course there could be other factors as well.

I believe that they have been doing this in Australia becuase of the out of control Feral cat population.
