I’ll be crying a river just as soon as I can get a round tuit. My experiences with PD’s has been that they tend to be, from the top down, pretty extreme cop haters, and it doesn’t trouble me too much to see them drop.
If, for no other reason, to counter the well cultivated impression in the local media that he was a water walker doing good for mankind. It is the responsibility of the media to expose feet of clay, preferably when the ONE is alive, but if not, then as soon as practicable. Otherwise it’s forgotten or buried; you’re welcome for the post-mortem pun.

Autopsy reports are public record in California and many other states. As the old saying goes, sunlight is the best disinfectant.
I am ambivalent about this story. It’s great that he encouraged public defenders to go to trial. More pubic defenders should do the same.
However, not telling defendants of plea offers in inexcusable. Lots of those convicted are going to go back and see what plea deals were offered will get those offers reinstated or get new trials.
You mean the ones with a taxpayer-funded Shush Fund, the ones who get law degrees from Poison Ivy League schools?
