I soon learned that the Office of Student Affairs, which oversees a wide array of issues including student diversity and residence life, was organizing many overtly progressive events — programs with names like "Stay Healthy, Stay Woke," "Microaggressions" and "Understanding White Privilege" — without offering any programming that offered a meaningful ideological alternative. These events were conducted outside the classroom, in the students' social and recreational spaces.
The problem is not limited to my college. While considerable focus has been placed in recent decades on the impact of the ideological bent of college professors, when it comes to collegiate life — living in dorms, participating in extracurricular organizations — the ever growing ranks of administrators have the biggest influence on students and campus life across the country. ...
Intrigued by this phenomenon, I recently surveyed a nationally representative sample of roughly 900 "student-facing" administrators — those whose work concerns the quality and character of a student's experience on campus. I found that liberal staff members outnumber their conservative counterparts by the astonishing ratio of 12-to-one. Only 6 percent of campus administrators identified as conservative to some degree, while 71 percent classified themselves as liberal or very liberal. It's no wonder so much of the nonacademic programming on college campuses is politically one-sided.
Abrams carefully lays out a devastating case for ideological conformity at elite institutions — all to no avail. Apparently, Abrams is being targeted not for what he says, but for what he believes. And the people who are charged with defending his academic freedom are, themselves, hopelessly biased.
Leftists insist we must tolerate the intolerable, yet will not tolerate any viewpoint that deviates from their orthodoxy.

And who TF would that be? The groups that these "activists" identified and the most media popular group in existence. It seems to me that the conservative professor is who is marginalized. The administration should tell this group to go back to class, sit down, shut up, and learn!
Their lunacy has a ring of gallows humor to it when played out. Conservatives by and large want left alone; period. The liberals (if they can even be called such these days) want to dabble in everyone's lives and if you don't abide, welp, their might be oven's in Conservative's futures. On the other hand; we Conservatives have all the guns and will not burn in the ovens; we will however put the liberals down in droves. They (liberals, hard left) will probably bring about the next wave of history's mass executions because they won't simply leave us the fuck alone to have an opinion and exercise free speech. I won't pity a liberal, at all. Push to far, get buried deep; actually no, won't waste my time burying and wasting calories on a putrid leftist.

I have a reoccurring dream that colleges will somehow find the names of Trump voters, like me, and fire every last one of us. Paranoid? Perhaps, but I never thought I’d see how low this Country has fallen in the last few years.
By now I hope everyone from Mensa members down to my cat realizes that the left only uses those terms to attack conservatives. The left has very little to do with real tolerance, acceptance, and celebrating diversity. They are demonstrably all about rigid conformance to their agenda. Stray from it and they pounce. The National Socialists of the 1930s would feel right at home with the leftists/socialists/fascists of today.

Large crowds singing this song - drowning out the Bolsheviks would certianly make great press - though in their abysmal ignorance - they’d probably mis-interpret anything sung in German as representing Nazi sympathies.
The Limeliters did this song on their ‘Folk Matinee’ album that was inspiring.
There is a German saying from the time period of “‘Die Gedanken sind frie’”, “City air is free air”, most of the German cities at the time were not under the control of the feudal lords but were run/managed internally usually by the gulds.
I don’t know the saying in German. I don’t think I have ever seen it. I know about Die Gedanken sind frie’ from a now long lost folk song album.
