I hope that his family and friends can be consoled with what he did, and how he acted, during his life.

I did, however, have to crack a smile at the mention of his name - and, no, not because he had a stroke or died (I wouldn’t ever rejoice at that). No, it is because my wife is an immigrant, and one of the times that we were in an INS office for her to have an interview and hand over some paperwork, we found a 100-question “citizenship” test. Since we had nothing better to do, I asked her all of them, and she got 92 or 93 correct - I was really proud of her. But one of the ones she got wrong asked, “Who is the governor of your state?” and she answered, “Perry.” So I asked, “What’s his first name?” It was “Rick,” but she answered, “Luke.” I still make fun of her for that one, and I’ll never forget Luke just for that.

RIP, Mr. Perry.

Over on the TMZ board Libs were being their usual self, I guess LP was a conservative, from what I gathered with all the idiotic comments.

A few years back, I went into one of those supermarket test kiosks for blood pressure. Don't remember the exact numbers, but it was so high when I mentioned it to my daughter, who had some medical training, she was shocked. She thought I could have a stroke at any moment. I was probably around 50 years old. So, I get to the doctor, and when the nurse checked by BP, she looked confused, and checked it again. It was like the highest she had ever seen.

Considering that I don't drink or smoke, and I exercise regularly, it was quite a surprise, but they said it can be hereditary. After that doctor visit, I was put on medicine, and it's now normal, and has been for years.

So, I don't know if Perry had a history of it, or just hadn't had it checked, but high blood pressure can kill you very fast, and without any other symptoms.

Probably doing coke. For a long time drug deaths were concealed, then for awhile they were revealed, “so that maybe someone cane benefit from this,” now they are concealed again.

Apparently Perry was "health conscience" as he changed his diet after the colonoscopy scare.
