Marvel Studios is hoping that no one remembers Elektra when their publicity department credits Ms. Marvel (sorry, I'm supposed to say Captain Marvel now) with another "first". . .Incidentally, the first gay Marvel character was Pinky Pinkerton of the Howling Commandos, who has already appeared in Agent Carter.

It was a fun ride, and I’m not convinced now they won’t muck up Endgame. Where I work was pushing for Captain Marvel and promoting International Women’s day. Pretty much confirms it is a totally convergent movie. If they push her as the “hero” in Endgame it really will be.

Stan Lee has said the character came off as gay, but it wasn't done purposely or to make a statement--which can be explained by the fact that the artist was assigned to imitate David Niven, who was straight but dandyish.

The art on Sgt. Rock was great. Haunted Tank and War Is Hell were also pretty good.
