Hmmmm...55 miles versus 0 miles. Hmmm...I still pay the same amount of tax money regardless.
Hmmmm...something for my money versus nothing for my money.
Im going to say its better than nothing, right?
the republicans keep claiming they don’t need much for the wall- but this is all that 1.8 billion gets us? Just ‘By-Eying it’ guesstimating, it looks like it’s going to $40 billion for a complete wall over to san diego (There seems ot be about 20+ of that distance to diego)
What is the joke?
Behind the smokescreen Trump keeps chipping away at the wall. From what I’ve read around 200-300 miles of new wall has been built. A new stretch in TX is starting right now. Trump has said, because of natural barriers, we could need as little as 700 miles of wall.
In other words the wall is about half done!
An Infantry soldier walks 4 miles an hour. Special Forces does 50 mile forced marches with full combat gear and rucksack. Only brief breaks. I could walk that/cover that distance in 1967 in 10 hours.
The longest journey starts with the first step forward... Trump never said he would build the Wall in the first 24 months... I’m willing to give him the four years ...
They should be hung by the neck until Dead.
nm looksl iek a lot has been built already-
Six miles of wall going up in Texas. At this built rate there will be plenty of gaps in the wall for the cartels to drive their buses up and unload “asylum seekers” for Trump’s entire 8 years in office.
???
I typed 200, not 2000.
Have you gone down on Mitch or Nancy?
Or both?

Plus, he still has the issue for next year’s election.
Yes. But my question remains: Why is 1.7 billion in the democrat-approved version going to only fund 55 miles of barriers - but 5.7 billion in the original funding demand going to provide 2000 miles?
You pointed out the 2000 correctly.
There are 100 miles of wall in San Diego and there is more wall in other locations.
55 miles is a long way to walk to get around it. The few that climb it will be much easier for Border Patrol to run down.
I think that’s a bit longer than 55 miles. I thought Texas was a big state ?
I commute 50 miles in any direction in PA and I know what that looks like on a map.
55 miles is NOTHING.
There is already over 500 plus miles of wall, thee 55 will hopefully go up this year and the rest can be started soon.
The elephant nose is under the tent, we will use incrementalism, just like the Dems, to get the wall built given the current political realities.
A proper ironclad wall will never be built. The broken system within will never change. I have a sick feeling that a “deal” is going to screw us.
I wasn’t aware that the $5.7 billion was supposed to do the whole border. It certainly doesn’t seem to add up ...
