He didn't spend $110,000 to "hunt" the goat, he spent $110,000 to do something that very few people have ever done.
He may have also done it with the conservation of the species in mind, since he is one of the few who can afford to do that, as well.
Either way, the monetary part was about uniqueness, not about a (non-)hunt.

Do you see that terrain in the back ground? Have you ever hunted terrain like that? I have. Its a nut buster to get within a mile of game in that terrain.

Someone we have all heard of is spending a lot more than that to go to Mars which IMHO is a lot more stupid.

The killing is NOT about hunting or licenses.
It is about a hunter bragging he killing the last of a species.

Im not into trophy hunting. And, its not like he actually hunted it down.
Here it is... now point and shoot.
So, don't do it.
He obviously had a guide.
How do you think he got anywhere near the animal, did you notice the terrain?

"...markhor hunting..."
Would it make some here feel more comfortable if I told you I was a trained veterinarian and the color of the markhors hooves indicate late-stage goat cancer and he would have undoubtedly expired by next Tuesday night?

But thats just me. That guy can do whatever he wants. Gee, thanks dad.
Are you sure you lean right? You do know that right is the starboard side? There are two 'right sides' on a boat depending on orientation, but only one starboard side.
You may be confused which way you are leaning.

Meh, killing a mountain lion bare handed, that’s a feat.

It’s very expensive to kill rare animals in shithole countries.

If its the very last one, where do you suppose more will come from whether the last one is hunted or not?
To: Simon Green
I hunt for meat. I choose archery, which requires a little skill, but even that is not much of a challenge for someone who shoots a lot daily. I have no trophies at all, not even one deer head hanging on the wall, and I don’t see the point in them. I also cannot imagine paying that much to shoot a big goat, where the meat won’t even be tender. However, it’s his money, and I’m not going to join the far-left morons who will raise a fuss over every hunting picture they see.

Just tell them the goat was Jewish...then they would be okay with it.

From the story it sounds like he didn’t hunt anything at all, just walked up to a docile animal and executed it.

He took a hike. Big F’ing deal....
and that’s after his mode of transportation(helicopter or whatever) couldn’t go any farther.
A Mountain Man(history channel) he is not.
He’s a small dick pretending to be a mighty, mighty hunter.
