You didn't read what I wrote.

The posters I was replying to had put out the opinion that he was an idiot for having an affair with a woman who they judged not as pretty as his current wife (unsaid is whether they would have approved if she WAS younger and prettier than the current wife).

All I was saying is that the cuteness of the wife is not necessarily the dominant issue influencing whether he strays.
