For those of you who would have like to have seen a more lethal trap, remember that such a device is HIGHLY illegal. You cannot booby trap your home, or in this case property.
In fact, should any of the thieves have gotten glitter in their eyes, they could sue him, and they would win.
As his lawyer, I would have suggested a non-toxic dye pack.
