Tesla owners in Germany got a surprise early test drive of the Model 3, shown in this PR piece from Tesla. Part of the appeal of the Model 3, besides its price relative to EU-made EVs, is its more compact size, which works better in Europe with its medieval legacy streets and small parking lots.
BTW Macron, smaller size and lighter weight was one reason our much-maligned Sherman tank was ideal for use in France, with its unimproved roads, narrow lanes between hedgerows, and jiggy jaggy village avenues. Y'know, in WWII, when we saved your alleged ancestors' asses for the second time in the 20th century?

It’ll be interesting and refreshing when a US-built EV takes a chainsaw to the EU market.
All-wheel-drive Tesla Model 3 will have 338-mile range, start from around £52k

LOL!
The yellow vests want to know if it burns as easily as a gas car.
The tires will. About the only chance Macron has to stay in power is if starts handing out gift certificates for all-day cups of coffee and the morning paper to each of the protesters. Oh, sorry, that was snarky, but you started it! ;^)
Does th3 Paris model come with auto-ignite?
You're late.
I'm sure they'll introduce an adapter soon enough. :^)
Just one question: are we using tax money to subsidize these electric money pits even when they’re exported?
Why should I care? I don’t live in Europe and I don’t plan to ever purchase an EV. I”ll stockpile spare engines and transmissions for my Hemi Charger if they should ever stop producing them.
I haven’t the foggiest idea what electricity costs in Europe but gasoline is incredibly expensive...twice to three times what it costs here.It seems to me that electric cars might have a future in Europe.
My daughter has a model 3 and loves it. So do I. She says she’ll never drive anything else.
What does it cost to recharge it at one of the charging stations? Just wondering.
I hear ya.
I’m a car enthusiast so I’m interested in the trends and advancements, but I doubt that I’ll ever purchase an electric car (never say never).
I have a ‘37 Chevy pickup and a ‘69 Mustang fastback. Both I rebuild from the ground up. Both I intend to drive until they won’t let me anymore (and maybe even then some). I have little use for new cars.
Don't you know? No? That follows.
If you hid under the bed, that would keep you from commenting so much on stuff you don't care about.
Gasoline is expensive in Europe because of massive taxation. Once electric cars become more common, to the point of cutting gas tax revenue, expect them to be taxed.
