I love Fred Ward, in almost everything.
Channel 5 was WTTG. Later we had Channel 20, WDCA.
I am so out of movies and can proudly list the number of movies I have never seen, or will ever see...
Honestly, my father was furious that we went to see "Gone with the Wind when we were 13 or 14 yrs old....that's the kind of family I came from...
Except for the Godfather, I’ve always hated Brando-he always seemed like a whiny, self important cuck to me.
Yep, on to “the next big thing” is Hollyweird’s motto.
I saw it way back when and it was a snore....
I understand that you don’t like Last Tango in Paris. I think it has some good scenes in it although I haven’t seen it in years. But with the exception of Sophia Loren once swimming discreetly in a pool without clothes in Cleopatra, she never went topless in a film. You must be thinking of some other “Italian” actress.
Now that it too funny! LOL funny!
I think we put my horrified mother at ease by casually discussing Jaws as a frightening shark movie, how the children were not frightened, etc., without mentioning....the other movie.
I was surprised that she knew anything about the other movie.
I'm afraid I horrified my mother in every possible way, but you can't beat your karma! My children have horrified me in every possible way. I can't wait for my grandchildren to get started on me!
I also used to read forbidden books under the covers at night with a flashlight. One was Love without Fear. What a shocker!
Now! Just yesterday, my grandson, age 11, was explaining to me the a transformer video he was about to show me on youtube would have a few bad words in it but that I'm just going to have to get used to that sort of thing in today's world etc. etc. etc. I can't even imagine how my father would react to such a thing.
I was only 11 or so, and going by who my mom said the actress was-to a kid, it was a generic Italian actress taking off her top. I did like some of the scenes in Last Tango-I mentioned the tango-and mooning one-also when he was talking to his dead wife was very real and compelling-but that was the kind of thing Brando did very well-he made you feel that emotion-but it was a depressing and dark movie. One of my favorite movies is “Scarecrow”-great flick and fantastic acting but dark and depressing.
I do too-I think he is a great character actor-no matter who he is playing, it is believable.
Did you ever watch Captain Chesapeake?
I lived down inside the DC beltway so the Baltimore stations were mostly snow, including Channel 45. I remember the Channel 20 Creature Feature host, Count Gore De Vol:
Yes! Goot evening!
