You aren't looking at this correctly. There is a dormant, not talked about much, second line of defense built into our democratic republic. It is called states rights and the right of a state(s)to assume sovereignty at any time.
""Secession belongs to a different class of remedies. It is to be justified upon the basis that the States are Sovereign. There was a time when none denied it. I hope the time may come again, when a better comprehension of the theory of our Government, and the inalienable rights of the people of the States, will prevent any one from denying that each State is a Sovereign, and thus may reclaim the grants which it has made to any agent whomsoever."
--Pres. Jefferson Davis.

Okay. I overlooked an option of the struggle: secession.
For example, if Texas should secede--and especially if some of the other states should secede also--that could be a solution--maybe the best solution.
But the last time states seceded, the result was disaster. It would all depend upon who controls the military.
Another option would be to return California to Mexico, thus diluting the insanity and buying more time for America, but how could that work practically? Millions of Californians would flee into the other states, bringing their insanity with them, and Mexico would receive mostly real estate.
And time is not on our side, and the violent Left is in overdrive trying to pervert Texas and the other states that would likely join her.
How do we prevent the californization of the rest of America?
President Trump might be able to pull it off. Pray that he will succeed.
What do you think?
I'm not raising rhetorical questions. The time for that is gone. We need to be practical and face reality.

Secession is the answer and need not be violent.

Okay. I'm listening.
How can a non-violent secession play out?

A group of states forms a new country and informs the Federal Govt that they will be leaving the union. Simple as that. This is not 1860 and these are not your GGGF Yankees. They will not fight it.

LOL. Funny, that you would say that. Yup, I can both sail and fly. I used to be a Naval Aviator in my younger days. Heh heh. And there is nothing... nothing like sailing.
When I lived in Indiana, I would drive four hours up North to go spend a day sail with some strangers on their 50’ yawl.
Life is too short not to enjoy it. I look back on my life and see things that I did not take advantage of, and opportunities lost. Life is too short to pass up a pizza and beer. If it is a nice day, go out and go into the wood with your dog. If you can try some brook fishing. If you are too old, then take a ride in your beater and do some mud slinging. Men we are never too old for the basic pleasures in life.
There are things that I like to do now where I live. But that doesn’t stop me from enjoying what I can. Spend time with friends. Enjoy that cup of coffee. Use real salted butter on your toast.
Don’t ya think?

I do indeed Sir, and thanks for your service to our country.!
I too served in the military. I was Regular Army.. I was a fire control crewman on the "Nike Hercules" missile system, acquisition operator.. In 1965 while my most unfortunate brothers in arms were sucking mud in Nam I was setting in an air conditioned radar van over looking the Yellow Sea in Korea, and loving every minute of it... I spent a year there and two years at McGregor Range in New Mexico.
Nowadays I spend most of my time riding my Honda sxs in Wayne National Forest and eating giant egg and bacon sandwiches made for me by my wonderful wife of fifty years..
Good luck to you Sir, and like the old Irish saying goes, May you be in Heaven three days before the Devil knows your dead

Well, where to "bug out" to? Again, read the articles HERE and HERE.
Well, I now live in China. I've made a nest for myself here. I am in the nexus of Hong Kong and Macao, and I am quite comfortable. I hope and pray that it will serve me well as a lifeboat whilst the storm rages in the United States.
The post herein describes about ten alternative locations that a person can ride out the storm. Each one comes with benefits and problems. For instance, Switzerland is amazingly beautiful and they can speak English there, but you would have to demonstrate a skill to immigrate.
Cambodia is easy to move to, but you would need to set up your own business or teach English there. However, the cost of living is amazingly cheap and the pace of life is really slooooowwwww.
There are many freepers who haven't read the post. They just say that the USA is the best, and leave it at that. When it is suggested that there is a shit-storm brewing, they respond that they have guns and will shoot back.
People, this is not Hollywood or the "Walking Dead". You will not only need to confront armed insurgents, but a militarized surveillance states, a fully armed DHS with military grade weapons, and a government that is seemingly wholly controlled by progressive hard-line communists.
You will not be able to fight back when they come after you. You will see people committing outrageous crimes (Hillary Clinton, email scandal, Antifa blocking ambulances, and BLM shooting police...) getting away with it. Meanwhile, a neutered DOJ (Sessions, anyone?) sits back and allows it to happen.
You all don't have a flying chance in Hell.
Know your history. When the SJW took over China, over 33 million people were killed. Tortured first, mind you, then killed. Read about it HERE.
Cambodians didn't fare well either. Maybe 60% of their countrymen died.
What the thing is, that the youth periodically about every three or four decades tries to overthrow the status quo. They try to put in it's place a utopia. Always one along the lines of hard-line communist. It never works out and people DIE.
In China, the last three attempts were the:
1. The Cultural Revolution.
2. The "free" Democracy Movement. (Which was actually hard-line communist, no matter what CNN and the images of the tanks in TianAnMen square might lead you to believe.), and
3. The Faulong Gong movement.
Each time the Chinese government clearly said, "NO MORE!". And put a stop to it.The United States needs to learn from these follies. Unfortunately they will not. The United States is moving forward Head first toward Hell and it ain't gonna be pretty.
