I have always admired this man and all of his work. It’s a shame that he felt the need to let me know of his political bias. Very sad. I now will avoid anything written or starring him. Too sad.
The First Sergeant for that outfit was none other than Howard “Ernest T. Bass” Morris. He was the first performer Maurice Evans recruited for the entertainment unit, because Morris was the only soldier they could find with previous theatrical experience.
One more thing: Evans was openly gay throughout his life, so elements of the Army were practicing “don’t ask, don’t tell” long before Bill Clinton arrived on the scene.
I always liked Carl Reiner and Dick van Dyke. it’s sad for me to see them expose themselves public ally as hateful partisans.

I applaud both Reiner, and Reagan, for their WW2 service.

I have a friend who’s grandfather played a role in the Bay of Pigs after they escaped communist Cuba. His Grandmother wanted to live long enough to see Castro dead or deposed. She missed it by only a few months.
