I was driving the first time I heard Phil as Art, even with the “Dancing Queen” intro. I about drove off the road!
John Batchelor sounds worthy of a listen. Ill see if I can tune him in one evening.
Worth a listen....I tune in from time to time.
Why is it, that as I read that, I could hear Art Bell's voice. I miss Art, and my beloved (passed on / late) wife.
Art Bell hadnt been on that show for a long time.
Its OK not to like Noory, but your boycott is a little late.
No, actually, it's the first Sunday of every month, not "weekends"....just one day a month. It would be interesting to find out how many of these emerging artists actually get noticed or get signed onto a record label. I don't like the way he features the songs...sometimes he introduces a song with the instrumental part of the song, other times, it's in the middle of the song, not sure who picks out what to play but, that person needs to do a better job if these artists are to get any recognition and Noory never says, hey if you like this artist and want to contact him/her email us and put "interested in artist" in the subject line...
I concur: John Batchelor is my new favorite radio host. I have been listening to him for about a year or so, and I have not yet been disappointed in his questions or guests.
Noory is far too credulous, and I have yet to hear him ask a serious or even deep question, he’s always pandering to his guests and condescending to the audience.
Yes. Batchelor is over looked too often.
John is 70 y/o. That surprised me, because he is so lively in his speech and in the patterns of his thought.
He was born to an Assyrian mother and an American father.
So, this background may give him an uncommon and valuable perspective on events of this country.
