:) :) My fingers swell and then shrink. I lost the engagement and wedding rings once while having fun tossing leaves on the front yard. THAT was actually the wake-up moment for me and my rings. LOL I loved wearing those rings because of my beloved’s reaction to them. LOL
All rings should start off modest. You can upgrade as the years go by. That’s what I did.
The rule used to be that the woman returned the ring unless the man presented it as a gift on her birthday or a holiday like Valentine’s or Christmas. Don’t know what the feminist dweeb courts are doing now.
The old time etiquette books (pre-1970) also were in favor of giving the ring back, even if it was a “gift” on a special occasion, or else the woman would indeed look like a gold digger or a prostitute.
FindLaw .com does not agree. She gets to keep it only IF it was a gift for a specific occasion. But not if it was a promise to marry.
This little hussy IS a gold digger and she is proud that she duped this guy mark my words!!! Its an expensive lesson to learn but this woman was NEVER someone he would want to be married to he is so much better off!!!
Well in PA anyway, if you give a ring and then you call it off, she gets to keep the ring..
Depends upon the state. In some places it is considered a conditional gift with the condition being marriage. That can also be nullified if you give the ring as part of a gift for another gift giving reason like Birthday, Christmas or Valentines Day.
I really feel for this guy HOWEVER when any woman starts dictating the requirements for her ring he should have been smart enough to RUN!!! He is an attorney what the HELL was he thinking / never mind no need to answer!!!
Sucker with a capital “S”.
