If Grassley was any kind of representative of the people he would demand to see the unredacted letter that the accuser wrote before any further accommodation... but he won't. According to the latest reports Grassley and the R’s are finished negotiating and have scheduled the vote on Judge K for Monday. All that’s left is to count how many women come out this weekend and claim K raped them in kindergarten or at a Senator’s game, I am certain the D’s have another even dirtier trick up their sleeve to play this weekend.

Unfortunately, Senator Grassley lost control of this process five minutes after the confirmation hearing started and has been flailing about ever since. He went into this with a good reputation but trusted the wrong people and completely underestimated his opponents. I don’t know how this will turn out but the Judiciary Committee needs to get a new chairman for the next term.

You were right. Grassley just announced he’s allowing more time. The vote has been and still is tentatively scheduled for Monday. He’s just allowing more time for the accuser to decide whether or not she will testify under oath and be questioned by an attorney before Cavanaugh testifies. If she agrees, she will testify Wednesday, and the vote will take place Thursday.
