Facts and transparency set you free.
To be fair though, the men probably do misbehave a lot more than the women do.
Screw your specious observation.
Male tennis players play five sets to womens three sets, so they also have more time on court. So theres a lot more game going on where refs can keep blowing calls or favor one guy over another.
I’m not sure what your problem is here with me.
The issue with Serena (and in the past with McEnroe) is that its ok to protest a bad call, even if it costs you a point. But after you play professionally for 20 years, you are well aware that if you keep yelling at the ump and bust a racket, you are going to lose a point. And, if you keep it up after that, you could lose a game.
I don’t remember that many men or women proceeding to the third stage, except for Serena and McEnroe. That’s on them.
More recently, we have Serena’s coach saying, “Yeah, I signalled, but I don’t think she saw it”, which is an umpire’s call, and “Men are penalized more than women, my bad.”
And I also heard that maybe sideline signals will now be allowed.
None of that matters. What matters is behavior after the first bad call. Serena is the “shove that ball down your throat” player, and she should never get to the third call with the ump.
