As things came to a head in 1982, I was stationed in Okinawa.
The SR71’s flew a heavy mission schedule out of Kadena, and Reagan held meetings with the Taiwanese. All eyes monitored the situation since we were relatively close to Taiwan.

It was widely believed on the island that Reagan traded Taiwan proven designs in exchange for getting them to quit rattling the mainland’s chain with test detonations.

So yes, that’s pretty much why China didn’t try to invade during Clinton’s second term.

"….the current government could care less about things from the 70s."

So, you reread your post and still could not see your mistake after being provided a giant clue.

Most people would surmise that you meant "....Could NOT care less...." Words mean things!

The radiation story isn't a new one, and it was and still is BS. There was indeed a South African nuclear weapons program, and they may have consulted somehow with Israel (which officially denies its nuclear weapons capability, but is believed to have between 50 and 150 warheads "with one wire disconnected"). but it turns out A) it's not as easy to do as apparently a lot of people think, and B) there is not a South African Bomb. Does anyone seriously believe that the current irreparably racist regime wouldn't have gone on a spree of "liberation" (conquest) throughout southern Africa had they had nukes? Pullease. The idea of large impacts from space was still anathema in 1979, and for some people it still is. Watching for missile launches from orbit led to the discovery of the small comet impacts that go one continually, and were discovered and studied by the late Louis Frank and his associates. He was brought in because a new, more sensitive satellite was picking them up, constantly, but no missiles ever came in. He wasn't told what he was looking for, he was brought in to verify the Pentagon's suspicion that they were detecting natural events. This was well after 1979. The SL-9 impacts on Jupiter didn't happen until 1994.

They needed her and a few of her sisters in Afghanistan and this war would have been over real quick in a few weeks instead of 17 years and counting

Any information of the nuke used in battle about 1971? (If declassified)

I believe it was a Russia/China border dispute.

Whites uniting with other oppressed tribes (and that’s really what we are talking about — tribal warfare) to oust the Bantu would be the local option.

I have read that the Zulu's are actually more aligned with the Boors than they are with the ANC. I believe the Zulus regard the ANC as a serious threat to them.

Can they make common cause? I would think that if they could, that would already be in the works now.

We’re still struggling with immigrants expelled from various Muslim countries and the Soviet states -— basically 50% of our population showed up here penniless and unable to speak the language within the last 40 years. It’s been difficult to integrate people.

It's a pretty rough situation, especially given all the animosity directed at Israel by so many other countries. I have no doubt this cuts into potential income, and so it is literally quite amazing that Israel has absorbed so many destitute people over the years.

But we are accustomed to seeing miracles come out of Israel. :)

At the time the Oslo Accords were made, Israel openly admitted to a two hundred warhead arsenal. As those accords were violated, Israel was believed by some sources to have produced as many as twenty-five additional warheads per year for a time.

This is the primary point by which I evaluate mideast politics. We vastly underestimated Israel’s capabilities before. The entire world has a habit of doing that.
