The Lear jet leftists expect to form the core of the global Inner Party. There they will continue to enjoy the finest foods and most advanced gadgets the world has to offer — while deciding your fate for you.
If you work very hard and show them your unwavering loyalty you may be permitted to join the global Outer Party. You will be allowed occasional servings of meat - and air conditioning on a rationed basis.
The rest of us will eat insectss and swelter — for the good of the planet.

20 years in the future?
The way things are going, we'll all be eating tacos, bean & rice. Nada mas.

Twenty years ago, I loved BK’s whoppers. And I still do, just one per meal.

They are able to analyze everything, from the sandwich we take from a vending machine1,441 grams of CO2 equivalent, equal to the emissions generated by driving a car for 10 milesto our overall eating habits. This is then used to impose significant fines when a high level of waste is detected. I love reading leftist fantasy fan fiction! I wonder how the plan to track the deer I shoot in my backyard, dress in my shed and stick in my old deep freeze out in the garage?

I love reading leftist fantasy fan fiction! I wonder how the plan to track the deer I shoot in my backyard, dress in my shed and stick in my old deep freeze out in the garage? In this totalitarian fantasy, you will not be allowed to live in the country, own guns, have a deep freeze, a car, or garage.
You will have no privacy. An algorithm controls what you can buy and what you cannot.
Total fantasy, but the idea of total control through complete tracking of what you do is 70% here. Consider facebook, google, twitter, etc. All of that is being tracked. Those companies already have huge influence on what you are allowed to see and read.
Consider if the U.S. government and these companies work together to control what you are allowed to buy.

I will eat deer that are abundant on my land. They are very tasty. Also the occasional wild turkey that are most delectable. I have rattlesnakes also. I kind of like them but if hungry they are on the menu. Actually they taste pretty good. I am not into dog meat but if hungry the coyotes are food. Lots of birds on my land. I will not starve.

And anyone who ventures out of the sterile LA or New York City Megalopolis areas, administered by King Merciful Obuma the snowflake god, are ground into fish food or fed to the hogs by the heavily armed Mad Max rural overlords.
