Village police said an officer saw the 56-year-old behind the wheel of a 2017 Lexus when he failed to stop at a stop sign on Main Street at about 7:30 p.m. He was pulled on Wharf Street, and police said he appeared intoxicated.
Police said they found oxycodone pills during a search.
Mr. France, who lives in Ormond Beach, Fla., was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor levied when a defendant's blood alcohol level is .18 and above, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, also a misdemeanor.
He was held overnight for a Monday morning arraignment in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court, where he was released on his own recognizance.
According to Bloomberg, Mr. France has been the C.E.O. at NASCAR since October of 2003. NASCAR's corporate headquarters are in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Now I'm sure any of Us arrested for the same Intoxication Level (he was 2 times limit) and in possession of Oxycodone with no Rx In the original container would be BURIED UNDER THE JAIL FOR SEVERAL DAYS, NOT RELEASED ON ROR...
Agreed. What’s Your take on the info in Post 41 ?
AGAIN TO ALL I’M STILL WORKING ON CONNECTION WITH ISP.
Took 15 mins to post this and 41...
The laws are different in every state I think and I have been retired 24 years. When I was working there was a cash bond posted on 1st offense DUI but I have seen magistrates who probably would have let him sign his own bond. The Oxycodone if I remember correctly about the same amount of bond if it were only one tablet. This mixture seems like a time bomb to me. I guess that is why they called it aggravated DUI. This is why I call it the Criminal Just-Us System.
Just a FYI:
Sag Harbor Village (N.Y.) is on the eastern part of Long Island. A long way from Watkins Glenn where the race was.
Drunk guy drops Trump’s name.
New rules. I don’t care
My sincere apologies. I thought I was responding to the OP.
Mucho sorry.
‘s OK
This isn’t the first time he’s been stopped for booze and drugs. A leave from NASCAR at a minimum.
The story doesn’t specify the Lexus model, but it doesn’t mention the evil SUV so it was probably the big LS sedan. Unexciting but very comfy.
I did. I followed NASCAR for years.
Roccus,
How ya doing man?
Very infrequently on FR anymore but had to check to see if the France news was a topic. What a dunderhead.
Interesting enough yesterdays race was the first Ive watched all year. Itll also be the last. Glad to see Chase get the win.
Hang loose and smell the roses.

Lucky catch by the officer staking out a site with a high probability of success, or had someone been tailing the perp, waiting for probable cause...
Just curious.
Hello hdx2
Still hangin’ in with NASCAR and the fantasy league. Came in first last season. Think I’m going to be letting go of Nascar after this year though. Just not enjoying it as much anymore. We used to have a nice crew on the race threads.
Hope all is well with you and Mrs. hdx2
