I write checks for all purchases and am asked for ID..I’m probably the only one in a checkout lane who uses checks.
If purchase alcohol at Target, they dont just check your ID..they scan it too.
I used to get ID’s all the time at the grocery store when I was younger and asked for my drivers license, yes, I did have beer in the cart along with my groceries.
I go to Walmart. I put groceries and everything I can on my credit card to build up points (money back in the hundreds once a year, and as long as you pay it off each month which I do, no interest charges) and had to show my Driver’s License (photo i.d.) initially. They must then know you are legit. coz’ now I only have to use my credit card (but the credit card has my photo on it, too.)
Walmart here in Fresno County, CA. sells hard liquor and you could just pop a bottle in your cart. Recently it got installed in locked cases and you have to call a sales clerk to open the case. Guess too much was ending up being pinched.
You do if you go to Sams Club.
Or Costco
Or write checks
when you pay by check ?
but now that they have those ‘ring it up yourself’ machines you cant do that on those
credit cards for people not on government assistance ?? dont they still check I’d there or is the fraud handlinf all left upto the card owner these days. ??
Oh my Lord these people are stupid. Some people still write checks. I’m pretty sure the audience new this was an embellishment with an anchor firmly set in fact.
