At 13 (late 60s) I was slammed by a significant wave up in Delaware. Compound fracture, upper left humorous. It still nags me.

I did a lot of body surfing when stationed at Myrtle Beach in the mid-late ‘70s....was shocked at how a mid-sized wave could throw you around as if it was a locomotive....did a bit of bouncing off the bottom from time to time.
