When I was but 10 years old, sitting in a classroom I dropped my pencil and I asked my black classmate if he could help me out and retrieve it for me? He did.
And as I walked out of that room after class, he was waiting outside the door and Cold-Cocked me right on my temple. I was taken to the nurses office with a huge welt and he was called to the principal's office.
He was apparently asked why he hit me, he said that I "Disrespected him".
Yet another reason, if paying by credit card, to put the tip on the charge slip.
Civilization. It used to be a thing.
Yeah, i love the kumbaya folks on these threads throwing their not-racist bonafides around. Having grown up in Wash DC & Atlanta, in very close proximity to a lot of honest hard working African Americans of color, I choose to keep my distance. Getting harder though. I moved to Oprahs Most Racist County in America, and honest hard working African Americans of color are moving here by the droves.
And what race was the victim?
I’ve spent most of my life in and around DC.
While I’ve never considered myself a racist we would find great entertainment driving around the darker sections of the city playing drinking games. This was back in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Games like, if you spot a black guy driving a 4 wheel drive, everybody drinks, if someone spots a black guy wearing a cowboy hat? That means you have to chug the entire beer. There were many more.
Great fun.
Wild ghettopotomi—perfect description!
This kind of racist violent behavior skyrocketed when Bath House Barry was elected POTUS. I lay a big part of the blame at his feet.
My guess is that they are leasing it.
Probably so, but even a lease on a vehicle like that will run around $800 per month. Again, where does their income come from??
> Again, where does their income come from? <
My guess, part 2: Pay the down payment, then lease the vehicle. Make a few monthly payments, then stop. Ride around until the vehicle is repossessed.
It’s also possible that each of them is kicking in $200 towards the lease. And if they’re not working, just use the ol’ EBT resale scam:
Buy groceries at a mom-and-pop store with your EBT card. Then sell the groceries right back for cash, for maybe 80 cents on the dollar.
Everybody wins. Except the taxpayer, of course.
