When I moved to the coast I taught myself how to buy/sell/trade and do light work on boats. Did a lot on CraigsList. Sold boats on consignment as well. Had a place with good frontage on a busy road in a commercial area. But I never kept more than a few boats around.
Got busy enough that I checked into going legit. From there it pretty much sounds just like the kids in the story. Too much red tape, insurance and "environmental" requirements to be affordable. Crap like a 15' deep wall of "privacy vegetation" to hide the place from the landlocked woods behind me. **eyeroll**
Anyways, said "fuggit" and kept rollin. So nothin changed there, either! And it was ok. d;^)
I cut my own hair.
Maybe this is why, but I think its really because I can give myself a bad haircut for free, why pay someone to do it?
