It is amazing to see so much ado about nothing. No one showed up in a primary in a Democrat district - so a less than 2% vote in the communists favor has the less socialistic Democrats in a tizzy. If the Republican can’t pull an upset by a suppressed midterm vote, it is unlikely she could serve more than one term when a more credible opponent beats her next primary.
Millenials are OK with stupidity. And, of course, they know nothing about history and socialism’s total failure.

It’s amazing what the media will do to spin things. They take a low turnout victory in a solid blue district in New York City against an out of touch Democratic incumbent and make it a major event. This doesn’t reflect anything concrete.
Any demographics on the voters in her district? My guess is 85%+ foreign born or offspring of immigrants. Socialism is immigrating, just as the Dems planned.

It really does not matter, the functional part of this is to have a divisive issue within Dem ranks. I love the dynamic of “how far left can we go?” It is my belief that Bernie *might* have won the ‘16 election, insane as that may be. But if we can get the Dems to go even farther left, then some number of them will leave the “anti-Trump” camp if it means electing a rabid socialist. In other words, I believe the clamor for socialism will ultimately be a defective strategy and is nothing to be feared; it is to be encouraged.

It doesn’t. And straw-men are never backed up by facts or logic. It’s opinion, that is usually wrong. Most liberal arguments are based on the strawman, and are ludicrous at best.
