I suppose I could live without breast reduction surgery.

And Ezekiel Emmanuel has openly stated that in the USA anyone over the age of 75 should just end their lives as ‘they have already lived long enough.’
Just lovely.

Oh, yes. The monster who authored a lot of Obamacare. That monstrosity has time bombs in it that were set to go off years after the great one left office, so when they occurred, he’d be long gone out of office.

Less health, more euthanasia.

Socialism at work.

Succinctly and accurately put!

Any treatment which merely delays death is unnecessary. And when you get right down to it, all medicine is about delaying death.

So if I were ever to get tuberculosis, I ought to succumb to it rather than take the antibiotics?

One of the things being discontinued:

Grommets for glue ear

Now what is glue ear, and what does a grommet do for it?

We know glue ear as “otitis media” where fluid gets trapped in the middle ear. The “grommets” referred to are ventilation tubes to drain the fluid.

On the way to, “Take an aspirin and have your next of kin notify us after you’re dead...”

“We know glue ear as “otitis media” where fluid gets trapped in the middle ear. The “grommets” referred to are ventilation tubes to drain the fluid.”

Is that similar to what SOOOO many little kids get to prevent earaches? Regardless - it is crazy what socialism does. Just crazy.

I read a few years ago some proceedings over in England. They were discussing the poor health care in the smaller towns. One of the board members of the healthcare systems said something like “There is no reason why it should take 32 weeks to get an appointment for a hearing test in Hempster Village, when it only takes 6 weeks in London.”

Don’t quote me exactly, but it was WEEKS! (It might have been even longer in the village.)

Just for a lousy hearing test!

From an old article in 2000. I’m guessing things have only gotten worse in England:

“Long waiting times add to the problems. While the average wait for a hearing test when directly referred by a GP to a hospital audiology department is 10.5 weeks, in reality it can vary, according to RNID research, from a few weeks to more than 18 months. The survey also disclosed an average wait of 19 weeks for initial referrals to an ear, nose and throat specialist, with many people waiting up to 12 months.”

Under socialized medicine unless you are under a specially protected group. You can bet that the royal family will never have to worry about this.

Who judges what is an unnecessary condition? When my niece was a 5 month old she developed a fever, parents tried usual OTC products, didn’t work, took her to ER, told it was just an Ear Infection no treatment just continue OTC stuff. Her grandmother insisted on different ER, turns out she had Spinal Meningitis. 10 days in the Hospital and nearly died.
