When I went there some time ago, they had his Black Chrysler on display in the Parking Lot. Beautiful Car.
Been there three times, never saw any of the Stars of the Program. Never bought anything there either. Too expensive for my taste, even the Chumley Coffee Mugs.
Parts of it are set up, parts of it are real.
A friend of mine had something he wanted to sell to them just to get on the show. He contacted them. They told him they’d definitely want to shoot the transaction, but he had to get to Las Vegas on his own. He flew out there and made it on :-). Nothing was really staged, just edited out of order of occurrence and the like.
There are certainly recreations of past transactions, but the entire show isn’t fake.
This show is as real as wrestling. Its scripted reality tv.
Little Kid: “Hey Mr., can I have change for this dollar, for the soda machine?”
Old Man: “The best I can do is 75 cents.”
I'm very familiar with the stuff that happens on these shows and know someone very well who feeds Storage Wars stuff to put in the lockers.
Nah, bury him in his Chrysler Imperial, he loved those.
I didn’t see him as a jerk at all. He built that business and was always “schooling” the rest of them. Pawn shops make a lot of money, but it is not easy money, have to know what you are doing. He had that tough old man personality.
