Mint made the best KDE product to date. A shame they are out - but I understand why. Not sure it was really ever an official product. Community version or something like that. I’ll run this KDE Mint machine as long as possible.
I just can’t get the same level of perfection from the native KDE versions. It works - but the updates are messed up. I confess - I’ve made no effort to fix it.
The fact is - KDE with Chrome was the only combo I could find that had workable upload dialogs for photos. All the rest were usable - but sub-par.
Just to add to the KDE thoughts - I just took another stab at Kdenlive, a video editing program - and folks - we might finally have a workable video editor for Linux! So far, I’ve been able to get a few things to happen - and have learned a bit more how the program works. I could never get any of the Linux video editors to work well enough to experiment. Program feels lightweight and responsive. I think they have it for Windows too.
What do you think the 200 or 300 or several hundred megabyte updates in Windows 10 are when compared with Linux?
Why so many? Android apps are similar in too many update prompts.
Thanks!
Look.Thx.
Haha! Morning dislexia. That should have been “kool”.
I liked Xubuntu 16.04, but didn’t like the “feel” of 18.04.
So I went to Linux Mist, which is essentially Ubuntu anyhoo.
