No it won’t.

Too damn expensive with all the layers of second guessers in NASA.

And don’t tell me about private enterprise.

They like a return on their investment.

Send muslims there so that we can outreach them.

Okay, I’m intrigued. What would the “FE” be?

In 1999, Moonbase Alpha had a huge explosion and it threw it out of earth’s orbit. It was all documented on TV ages ago. After that, no sign of global warming.

It's going to take quite a sales job for that to happen. Fortunately, it can be done. Heinlein's The Man Who Sold The Moon has some great ideas. The one I like best is using the entire moon for a giant billboard by dumping coal to form letters. So there you are parked with your date, watching the full moon rise, and on its surface is "Eat At Joe's". Think a company would pay good money for that? You just have to be creative...

Flat Earthers. They soil many space related threads.

The same idea but on a smaller scale was tried in Rock Springs Wyoming.

On a hill top to the north was a huge bill board.

I never saw an advertisement on it but its still there

A profitable Moon facility could be as simple as a farm. Selling propellant, food, and many other expendables to satellite operators and others.

Of course a farm on the Moon is no casual matter.

Good. We need as a launching point to reach out and explore the stars as we over populate this planet like the good little virus we are.
