That's a good question. Generally in these situations both sides are inebriated. Personally, I find drunk women very unattractive.

In general one should avoid associations with people whose idea of a good time is to get completely plastered. I supposed with young people, it's understandable. But once someone is past the age of 30, they should know better. Nothing much good comes from immoderate drinking.

Keep in mind that the guy was likely just as drunk. This is a good reason to not get drunk in the first place.

If you get behind the wheel while completely drunk, you are still held responsible for your bad decision. It should be the same for drunken sex. Don't want to get into a bad situation while drunk? Don't get drunk.

To play devils advocate, If both parties are hammered drunk then it is the guys fault for raping? I certainly wasn’t there and I am not privy to any other evidence, but the fact they were drunk does not in and of itself, make it rape. Particularly if both parties were impaired.

That would make for a good Supreme Court case. Is it sexual discrimination to hold drunk men totally responsible for his actions, while absolving women for all decisions that they make after even one drink?
