“I’m DOING the speed limit!”
How about the roads where the Street Outlaws race? Are they bad too?
Actually, the speed limit is what the law has decided what the best speed should be. I stay in the right lane and stay out of the way of the habitually agitated, but I don't have much sympathy when chronic speeders think that they are above the law. And even in my younger speeding days, I never resented people slowing me down because my impatience and/or my lateness is my problem and my fault, not their's.
The number one reason missiles and cannon should be an available truck option!
“....with the right-turn signal going LoL”
EXACTLY!!
Keep’em guessing.
If they ride with me, they’ll be charging 10 people a day. I’m constantly making dangerous passing maneuvers to go around slow drivers that loiter..
We’ve had such a law in Jersey for years with signs around reminding drivers - sadly, it never seems to be enforced.....
9 out of 10 times, they are driving a Subaroooo.
Subaru. The new Volvo.
That’s the perfect name for it.
$100 is too light. Should be a capital offense.
All this moaning about other drivers...
This is why I really can’t wait for autonomously driven vehicles.
Just wake me up at the destination, driving has lost it’s thrill for me.
Paintball guns... (water soluble, of course...)
On California I5 through the Central Valley...
Out of State tourists
Pickups hauling trailers doing way more than 55...
On the positive side, 9 out of 10 semi truck drivers are excellent and predictable drivers.
I’m guilty. Yes sir. I’m over sixty, I drive slow in the left lane with my left blinker on all the way.
Try this on I10 heading into
Houston, where they are already
driving 20 over. Speed limit is
75. Raise it and you’d have some
going well over a 100...if you
ain’t passing, in a reasonable
time...move the heck over...
especially if all you can see
in your rear view is their grille.
Drove back and forth from Roswell
to Houston for five years. Learned
a lot...699 miles each way.
I’ve read all the replies. You sure can tell who the guilty are.
Here’s a life tip, and it is simple courtesy:
If someone wants to go faster than you on a four lane, move over to the right lane (as soon as you can) and let them pass. EVEN if you’re overtaking another car, but it will take you several minutes to get around them to do so, then slow a little, get behind the car you intended to overtake (but slowly), let the other driver pass, then get back in the left and do your slow overtake.
For some reason when I pass rolling road blocks I find the need to hit my window wash very liberally and it seems to coat the offenders car. One of these days I am going to fill the rear wiper reserve with baby oil and try that.
I always just pass on the left and generally stay in the right hand lane except to pass on three lane roads as well. Some people camp in the center lane at a slow speeds which I don’t understand.
The HOV lanes are different. It is government micromanagement at it’s worse. I have been stuck in traffic in rush hour with only a few people using the HOV lanes. They are a waste.
