I took a look at Buchanans column. A snip from that column is below. If that’s a denial, then it’s the mushiest denial I’ve read in a long time. But maybe that’s just the way high-level diplomats speak these days.
From the column:
The Vatican swiftly issued a statement saying the pope had had a private conversation, not a formal interview, with his friend, Scalfari.
The Vatican added: The textual words pronounced by the pope are not quoted. No quotation of the aforementioned article must therefore be considered as a faithful transcription of the words of the Holy Father.
I remember when I used to know the answer when someone asked “Is the Pope Catholic?”
Guess I’ll have to hang my hat on where bears go to the bathroom.
C’mon Mt. Vesuvius!
I seem to remember that the concept of limbo is in bad repute these days.

“If there is no Hell then what function does Purgatory serve?”

The waiting room for County General?
It’s hilarious, there is no hell, also no building codes..!
A Vatican press officer said: No words in quotation marks should be considered as a faithful transcription of the Holy Fathers words.”
So if you take the quotes away you would have fake news. Either way the Pope is defenseless.
I haven’t kept up on Vatican Constitutional Civics. I’m wondering if there’s an equivalent to our 25th Amendment. If so, the Cardinals could all get together and by majority vote declare Francis to be incompetent, disabled, or otherwise just delusional...and no longer amusing.
When Jesus died, the curtain ripped as God’s way of saying that not only “priests” had access to the Ark of the Covenant and I would assume to herald the ending of the Old Covenant - perhaps He is sending a message that this “Pope” has no special standing/privilege above any of God’s children...
“...not only “priests” had access to the Ark of the Covenant...”
Does the bible say that?

Our FATHER hears all conversations!
Please pray for the conversion of pope Francis...
...he is a sign we are being judged.
If Tiangong-1 lands in Saint Peter’s Square, the message will have been delivered loud and clear.
So, my question to you is, what does the Bible say about it that would make you ask your question....
