I hate not having the complete story,
...
Yet you still know enough to criticize those who spend their entire lives studying cosmology.

Yep! I sure do know enough.
I follow cosmology/astronomy, and from what I've gathered, most of what I've read and understand, is mostly hypothetical and theories and a lot of guesswork. Nothing wrong with that, because, that's how progress in knowledge works. But what I hate about it is how a lot of the science is presented as if it was written in stone. Sort of like global warming "science" works.
So, towards the "beginning" of the universe, where did hydrogen come from, and what "prompted" that hydrogen to form, and, why the "big bang" to begin with? I'm sure YOU have the answers, so, I'll be glad to hear them, unless you don't and want to just accept everything you hear and see without questions.

It seems your beef is with journalists and politicians, not scientists. Other than that, you’re getting into philosophy.
Getting back on subject, this article seems to be about some solid scientific work that took many years to complete. Since you’re an expert, perhaps you should read the original article.

You mean, the reports we're getting are not doing justice to the actual "science". Perhaps then, the reports should be categorized as "junk" news?
Other than that, youre getting into philosophy. How did you guess? I'm not a real philosopher, but I play one every time I enter the internet and reply to stupid things I see and read.

I have always wondered if a good man, but an atheist, after death saw there was God, and realized his mistake and asked for forgiveness, would he not be given it?

If Jesus healed the sick, wouldn’t God do the same? Doesn’t God save?
