Saying you are going to kill someone is Maybe like yelling fire in a crowded theatre????
No comparison. Yelling “Fire!” can cause a panic and injuries. Saying you’re going to kill someone without being specific should not be a crime. And it sure as hell is NOT “attempted” murder.
Saying you’re going to punch someone .... Us that attempted assault? Terroristic threatening...maybe.
Yelling...I’m going to kill you in a crowded theatre? Just brainstorming here...
I don’t know about that. The SC was specific in using the word “fire”. Though I’m sure yelling “I’m going to kill you!” In a crowded theater would cause more panic than yelling “Fire!”.
Has anyone ever been charged with yelling *Fire!” In a crowded theater? And what if the theater isn’t crowded because it’s a Been Affleck movie?
